Three simple steps

From online to offline in seconds.

No rule syntax. No port numbers. No firewall expertise required.

01

Turn on protection

Approve NetBlocker once in macOS System Settings, then switch protection on.

02

Drop in an app

Drag any app from Finder. NetBlocker identifies it by its code-signing identity.

03

Stay in control

See everything you block in one list and restore access whenever you want.

Good to know Quit and reopen a newly blocked app once to close connections it already had open.

Private by design

Your network activity stays private.

NetBlocker uses Apple's Network Extension framework to make a local yes-or-no decision: can this app create a connection? It does not need to see what you send.

  • No traffic contents collected
  • No account required for the trial
  • No cloud rule database

Focused by design

A firewall that feels like a Mac app.

Everything you need to control app access, without the complexity you do not.

Drag. Drop. Block.

Add an app directly from Finder and NetBlocker takes care of the rule.

Built for modern macOS

A native interface, Apple silicon performance, and Apple's supported network APIs.

Identity-based blocking

Rules follow the signed app identity — including the helper processes it launches.

One clear list

See what is blocked and restore access with a click. No hidden rules to hunt down.

Early feedback

Simple enough to feel invisible.

What people noticed first while trying NetBlocker on their own Macs.

It is refreshingly easy to use. Drop in the app and NetBlocker takes care of the rest.

Questions, answered

The details that matter.

Does NetBlocker inspect my traffic?

No. NetBlocker blocks connections by app identity. It does not read web pages, passwords, messages, or the contents of your traffic.

Why do I need to approve a system extension?

macOS requires your explicit permission before an app can filter network connections. NetBlocker guides you to the right setting during setup.

What happens to connections that are already open?

NetBlocker stops new connections. Quit and reopen the blocked app once to ensure any existing connections are closed.

Does it support Intel Macs?

No. NetBlocker is designed exclusively for Apple silicon Macs — M1 or newer.
